5-star Euro NCAP rating.

Honda has the higher entry price because it doesn't market a 2-door basic entry model. The Jazz is 5-door only. Otherwise the range of prices is similar.

The Fiesta and Jazz are very similar in size. The only difference being the load capacity.

The Fiesta offers a much wider range of engine options. Honda do not offer a diesel engine in the Jazz. When you compare the 1.2 and 1.4 petrol engines, there's no significant difference to be sure it would be present in real on the road driving. The Jazz is a bit quicker.

The Jazz i-shift is significantly more economical than the Fiesta 1.4 auto.

You may ask, 'why no diesel with the Jazz?' There are several reasons to explore.

  • Diesel cars and fuel costs more than petrol and it may take too many years for fuel economy savings to pay the cost back.

  • Diesel cars are still noisy and vibrate but manufacturers are now better at isolating noise and vibration. The question is, can this be done well enough in a small car?

  • Diesel particles are not town friendly.

You'll find many manufacturers think diesel is not viable in small cars.

It's advisable to check motor car insurance premiums for different models in the new car insurance groups 1 to 50. You should be able to find the cheap car insurance for the entry level models. You can directly compare car insurance quotes online to find the most affordable car insurance. The time and effort is worthwhile as differences and savings can be huge.
