To me the Peugeot 308 looks a better car than the Focus. But the 308 has a significantly higher entry price than the Focus. You can see below Peugeot's 1.4 engine has no running cost advantages over Fords better performing 1.6. And to be frank - you be Betty - the Focus drives better. The Focus feels nimble while the 308 feels bulky, even MPV like. Maybe it's me.
